Phoenix Display · Last updated 28 September 2026

In short: Phoenix Display has no account, collects nothing, and sends nothing to us. Your screen goes only to the device you choose.

What the app does with your screen

When you choose Send this screen, Phoenix Display records your Mac's screen (with the Screen Recording permission you grant in macOS) and streams it directly to the device you connect to — another Mac, or your own iPhone or iPad. The stream goes straight between your devices over your own network or cable. It is never sent to, stored on, or seen by us or anyone else.

Local network

The app uses the Local Network permission only to find your other device (Bonjour) and to connect to it.

iCloud (remote access from iPhone or iPad)

If you use your iPhone or iPad to reach your Mac from elsewhere, the devices find each other through your own private iCloud account. The small pairing records this needs are stored in your iCloud, not on our servers, and we cannot read them. The picture and your touches and keystrokes travel directly between your devices, encrypted.

Data we collect

None. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no crash reports sent by the app. Settings (such as your chosen quality) are kept only on your device.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
